Forgent
Brand and Corporate website
WHO
Forgent plc (AIM: FORG) is an Australian-focused critical and precious metals exploration company, advancing a portfolio of high-grade, drill-ready gold, copper, nickel and PGE projects in Western Australia. Formerly known as EQTEC, the company was previously a licensor and innovator of proprietary syngas technology for the clean conversion of the world’s waste into sustainable energy and biofuels. Its new strategy targets overlooked and under-advanced assets with strong geological fundamentals.
CHALLENGE
Forgent was undergoing a fundamental strategic shift and needed a brand and communications that clearly signposted its transition from gasification technology to metals exploration. FourthQuarter was commissioned to create a new logo, brand identity and corporate website to reframe the company for investors, all timed to launch as shareholders voted on the new direction. The existing EQTEC website no longer reflected the business, and its navigation was unintuitive.
SOLUTION
Working closely with the Forgent team and its financial PR adviser, Camarco, we began with the logo. It draws on the “F” of the Forgent name and the terrain of Peak Hill, the gold-copper mining licence that forms one of the company’s key assets. From there, we developed the wider brand and designed and built a new WordPress website from the ground up, with intuitive navigation and key information on each asset front and centre. We also designed a new investor presentation, applying the new branding and positioning to tell the story of Forgent’s transformation, its three Western Australian projects and the catalysts ahead, supporting the company’s investor relations activity through a critical period.
IMPACT
The new website and investor presentation launched at a pivotal moment for Forgent. The launch coincided with shareholder approval of the new strategy at the company’s AGM, a fundraise, and RNS newsflow marking important project milestones. As investors looked to understand the reshaped business, the brand gave Forgent a distinct identity, marking a clean break and communicating its new direction with clarity and consistency across every touchpoint. Investors can now quickly find asset overviews, announcements and AIM Rule 26 disclosures from the main navigation, giving the company a strong platform as it advances its exploration programme.
